Combiflam Side effects


Active ingredients- Paracetamol and Ibuprofen
Combiflam tablets are generally sold in Asia but being an over the counter drug, it can be obtained all around the globe. Combiflam tablets are not know to have any side effects on occasional use but using the medication for a prolonged period of time can have some serious side effects. 

Usage
Combiflam tablets are used commonly for treating pain and reducing fever. Ailments for which the over the counter drug is used for are fever, headaches, body aches, joint pains, dental pain and other external pains. Combiflam tablets however aren’t used for treating inflammation, stiffness and redness caused by rheumatoid arthritis, but it does relieve pain linked to rheumatoid arthritis.

Rare Side effects
Not many people suffer from side effects on administration of Combiflam tablets. However, like any other drug, there can be side effects and should be monitored after the administration of the tablets. These are some probable side effects which have been reported in the past on administration of Combiflam tablets. On development of any of these side effects, stop using the drug and consult a doctor immediately. Throat ache or a fever with chills not linked to earlier ailments can be symptoms of allergic reaction to Combiflam tablets. Oral Ulcer, pain, development of white spot on the mouth and lips are some other probable side effects of the medication. Side effects include hives, skin rashes and in rare cases excess bleeding also have been reported. Dizziness, weak feeling, lower back pain and weariness are some other side effects reported in patients using Combiflam tablets.

Severe Side effects
These side effects are less frequent but are fatal and even cause death. Prolonged administration of Combiflam tablets can cause severe damage to the liver, symptoms includes yellowing of the skin or eyes.  Blood in urine or stool on administration of Combiflam tablets may suggest stomach infection. If any of these symptoms occur on using the medication, stop using it immediately and seek for medical help.

Precautions
Avoid the use of alcohol along with Combiflam tablets as it puts additional weight on the liver. Avoid using the medication for a prolonged period of time, if the ailment doesn’t improve, stops using the over the counter drug and consult a doctor. In case you are taking any other drug for controlling diabetes or blood pressure, consult your health care provider before administering any other drug. Administration of Combiflam tablets with other drug may increase the probability of side effects.

Overdose symptoms
Unusual sweating, constipation, loss of desire for food, vomiting, abdominal pain, extreme stomach ache, swelling of joints and pain in the upper abdomen could be the symptoms of Combiflam overdose. On development of any of these symptoms, seek for immediate medical care.

  1. Combiflam contains Ibuprofen which can cause serious damage to the liver so dosage should be limited.
