Bi Profenid side effects

Gastrointestinal disorders: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, gastritis, stomatitis, colitis. Rarely, stomach ulcer or duodenum (usually during a long-term treatment or high dose), gastrointestinal bleeding (vomiting blood, black stools, or more often imperceptible loss of blood responsible for the gradual onset of anemia).
  • Allergic reaction: skin rash, asthma ;

Pregnancy and lactation

Pregnancy:

BI Profenid Dosage

The tablets should be swallowed whole with a full glass of water during meals in order to limit the occurrence of digestive disorders. However, in cases of severe pain, making fasting provides a faster effect.
Usual dose:

    
Adult:

  •     short-term treatment in rheumatology: 1 tablet, 2 times a day;
  •     maintenance therapy in rheumatology: 1 tablet once a day, or 1 / 2 tablet, 2 times a day.


    
Treatment of migraine attack: 1 / 2 tablet a crisis, to take from the beginning of the crisis. There is no need to take a tablet if the effect was insufficient. However, if a crisis appears in the second 24 hours, you can take half a tablet or additional respecting a minimum of 12 hours between the 2 doses.

In all cases, never exceed 2 tablets per day.
Advice

Anti-inflammatory drugs are not harmless. Because of the possibility of serious side effects, they should be used only when needed, which is not the case for some rheumatic pain and mild trauma.

This medicine has been prescribed in a specific situation: would not recommend it to a close and do not reuse without medical advice.

Do not exceed the dose or duration of treatment prescribed by your doctor.

Taking this medication does not replace standard measures to help to give the migraine attack: lying quietly in a dark room.
